Managing costs

It is our goal to maintain a lean company structure with low fixed costs and cost-efficient management processes. Having obtained proof-of-concept for our vaccines, we will concentrate on license and transaction deals to offer our investors an attractive exit scenario over a manageable time period.

In September 2009, Themis successfully closed its seed financing round. The company received one million Euro - the highest possible level of seed financing - from austria wirtschaftsservice (aws), Austria’s national promotional bank. Additionally Themis has already been incorporated into the incubator of INiTS. Additionally, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) will support Themis Bioscience with an additional public fund of € 1 million over the next three years.

Themis is now seeking additional funds to achieve a number of major value creating milestones over the next 30 months, including the preclinical development and preparation for clinical trials of our three lead projects Dengue, Chikungunya and Yellow fever. Additionally, we aim to start clinical trials in at least one indication.
