The Opportunity: Innovation Gap in the vaccine industry

Our business concept clearly focuses on three vaccine candidates which we advance through clinical development to demonstrate proof-of-concept. We will then offer theses vaccines to leading biotech or pharmaceutical companies for licensing or partnerships.

Themis operates as a compact, highly focused biotechnology company with a lean organizational structure that enables us to function fast and cost efficiently. We will be clearly and exclusively focusing on our three lead vaccine projects to progress them quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively through clinical development. Here we especially concentrate on those development steps that add significant value to our project while carrying a low risk of failure. We will drive our three development projects forward until the most attractive value inflection point, which is a successful proof-of-concept in clinical trails, respectively a Phase 1 or Phase 2 clinical trial depending on the product. At this point we will actively seek a major pharmaceutical or biotech company either as a buyer or a development and marketing partner for our projects. Here we especially want to take advantage of the current industry trend that offers attractive license and merger options, as the major pharmaceutical companies are desperately searching for attractive new product candidates to fill their lack of in-house innovation. Through these licensing transactions we will generate upfront-, license-, milestone- as well as future royalty payments.
